Beal House Inn - Littleton, New Hampshire

Built in 1833, the Beal House Inn has been welcoming travelers since 1938, when Mrs. Beal turned her gracious home into an elegant New England Inn. Today our eight rooms (5 suites), all with private bathrooms are furnished with an eclectic mix of Antiques, Down Comforters, Four poster beds, CD Players, A/C, Hair dryers and Satellite TV (except the Blue Room). Suites have mini fridges, coffeemakers, bathrobes, gas fireplaces (except Back Lavender Junior Suite) The Inn, Restaurant and Lounge are Totally Non-Smoking.

Their Back Yard abounds with trees and flowers in summer - An Archway is abloom with Clematis vines in spring. The Fire Bush comes alive in Fall and look forward to Snow, Snow, in Winter.


JOSE LUIS, from Argentina worked in Hospitality for 25 years Hotels, Resorts, Cruises, Restaurants he has worked in every aspect of the business. CATHERINE, raised in the Netherlands worked for Airlines Cruises,Travel Agencies during her 25 years in the Industry

They met in 1980 while on a cruise ship, in the Caribbean She worked as a blackjack dealer, he as a bartender
They settled in South Florida and in 1993 they opened their first restaurant. By '95 a 2nd and in '97 a 3rd. And then "It was time for a change" After a one year search for the perfect Inn,they purchased THE BEAL HOUSE INN AND RESTAURANT in July 2001

During the past 30 months they upgraded the Rooms, Suites and Restaurant: adding amenities e.g. two-person Jacuzzis
Bathrobes, Sat.TV., Coffeemakers, Mini-Fridges etc. They speak German, French, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian

Perched under the eaves, on the THIRD floor, up a winding staircase The Notchway Suite is a large TWO bedroom suite that overlooks the woods at the back of the inn. The suite is your own private getaway decorated in knotty pine, with two entrances. The back entrance features a private deck. The sitting room is filled with light from a wall of windows, and features a queen sofabed Sat.TV, A/C, small fridge, coffee maker, large gas fireplace One bedroom has a queen size bed and the other a full size bed. The private bath has a hairdryer, antique claw foot tub with shower.


Named for the woman who started it all, in 1940 Mrs. Beal nabbed Mr.Grady, an overnight lodger as her second husband. Her large boudoir (with A/C)is a 2 room suite on the FIRST floor It has a hand made queen size four poster bed & down comforter. The bedroom features a Waverly wallpaper filled with sensuous flowers and overlooks our summer garden The private bath with bathrobes has a large Claw Foot Tub with shower and a hair dryer. The large separate sitting room features an overstuffed queen sofa bed awash with flowers, Sat.TV/VCR, coffeemaker, small refrigerator and gas fireplace for your enjoyment. This suite has recently been totally renovated and redecorated


The Garden Suite on the SECOND floor is a large two room suite. The pale yellow bedroom features a queen size hand made 4 poster bed covered with a down comforter. A soft matching rug warms your feet. The private bath has a two person Jacuzzi, shower and hair dryer. A large separate sitting room continues the garden theme with a queen, flowered sofa bed, Sat.TV, A/C and plush bathrobes. The Suite has a gas fireplace, coffeemaker and refrigerator There is a telephone line for internet access This Suite has been totally redecorated and renovated.


Located on the SECOND floor, in the front of the Inn, this suite is named after the magnificent Waterfall and Gorge in Franconia State Park, The Flume is a large sumptuous room, painted in Provencal Creme, with King carved cherry wood four poster bed. Luxurious bed coverings, chairs and gas fireplace complete your comfort. The bathroom features a 2 person Jacuzzi and shower, hair dryer and bathrobes. Coffeemaker and refrigerator offer convenience Enjoy Satellite TV in a separate small sitting room with 2 chairs.
